With over 35 years experience of Wills, Probates and estate matters, our philosophy is to get matters resolved in a timely manner, in what can be very difficult and distressing time. A will is your opportunity to ensure that your wishes are carried out; therefore, it is important for everyone to not only have a will, but to periodically review their will in case personal circumstances have changed. All of our clients are provided with an on-site safekeeping facility for their Wills at no extra cost.
Carters also offer a Probate service to assist Executors of a Will in making an application to the Isle of Man Courts of Justice which includes advice to Executors regarding their role and obligations to the beneficiaries. Where no Will exists we can advise the family on extracting Letters of Administration.
We also provide General Powers of Attorney and Enduring Powers of Attorney. The General Power of Attorney allows you to choose who looks after your financial and personal affairs if for instance you had to go to hospital and was unable to look after your affairs while you are indisposed. The Enduring Power of Attorney allows you to choose who looks after your financial and personal affairs if you become mentally incapacitated.
