We collect personal data from you through our various interactions with you, when you avail of our legal services and when you complete our administrative forms and documentation online or in hard copy including corresponding with us by post, email, phone or otherwise. The information we may collect may also include information pertaining to your family and associates
We use this personal information to set you up as a client, open a file, carry out due diligence in accordance with our procedures and to manage our relationship with you.
THE USE OF YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information to provide you with the service you have requested and to liaise with third parties ( i.e including appointed Attorneys under a General or Enduring POA; Executors to your Will; your Next of Kin; mortgage provider etc); for administration in our own business (i.e raising invoices; conflict checks; archiving etc); in confirming the information your provide with Accuity and/or World Check and to fulfil our legal obligations including our regulatory obligations under the Anti Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism Code
The use of Corporate client information would also include any information pertaining to persons who have a connection with your business; organisation or company (i.e partners; shareholders; beneficiaries; trustees; enforcers; settlors and any employees, staff or other contacts you may provide us with).
SECURITY AND DATA SHARING
Security is taken seriously and policies, procedures, and training are in place to cover Data Protection, confidentiality and security. We regularly review the measures that are in place to ensure the data we hold remains secure. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the security or identity of your data when sent to us and any transmission is at your own risk.
We will retain your information for a period of six years. We will then securely destroy your personal data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
The information we collect about you and the persons connected with you is stored under our control in conjunction with our IT and data back-up Service Provider and the archive company engaged by us.
We may also share your data with other third parties for example with a regulator or to otherwise comply with Manx Law.
You have the right as an individual to access information we hold and to have any inaccurate information corrected. You may ask us to delete your information under certain circumstances which we will take into account in conjunction with our six year retention of information period. Your information will not be used for marketing purposes without your express permission.

We reserve the right to amend this privacy statement at any time. Changes to the statement will be made available to you as soon as is practicable. The reason for this is straight forward. Rules Regulations and Procedures may change arbitrarily from time to time and it is necessary to ensure compliance with them. In addition, we may decide to improve our procedures.
