Understanding the Conveyancing Quote: Your Questions Answered

We offer a free quote with a full breakdown of all costs via our quote request form. In this article, we outline everything you need to know about our conveyancing quote.

How can I get a quote?

The quickest and easiest way to get a free quote is to fill out the quote form on our website. This will ensure we have all the details we need to provide you with as accurate a quote as possible. Before you start, make sure you have all your details handy.

What is included in the quote?

The quote includes:

  •  Legal Fee
  •  Search Fees and Disbursements
  •  The IOM Registry Recordal Fees

How long is the quote valid for?

All prices quoted are valid for 14 days from the date of quotation.

Once you have accepted the quote, we endeavour to open a file and send out an engagement pack within 24 hours; however, this may vary due to fluctuating workloads, in which case we undertake the aforementioned steps within seven days. This is subject to the usual conflict rules.

Why do you need all that information?

Our quote form is comprehensive because we want to provide you with an accurate quote in a timely manner. To do this we need to get all the information upfront.

Small details can make a big difference. For example, there are two tariffs for recordal fees – owner occupier and second/investment property. These have a significant difference in price, so we need to know which one is relevant to you.

We also need details such as your full name and address, and your estate agent details, as it allows us to carry out compliance checks, such as conflict-of-interest checks, as early as possible.

Can you go cheaper?

Our quotes are competitive and bespoke, to each property & title; and each Client’s requirements (as per details provided at the quoting stage).

We do undertake a brief title search, from within both Isle of Man Government Registries so that we do have a rudimentary understanding of the work we are anticipating undertaking.

We quote on a guaranteed maximum basis to ensure that you know how much you need to pay up front and there are no surprise costs down the road. We also quote on a no purchase/sale no fee basis.

Do you offer a Blue Light Discount?

We are proud to say we offer a 10% Blue Light Discount. This is applied to our standard rate only.
